2015 Pacific Region Staff College

Pacific Region Staff College’s purpose is to prepare CAP officers to execute duties and responsibilities associated with command and staff positions, and is required for completion of Level IV.

The purpose of the college is to help prepare CAP officers to execute duties and responsibilities associated with CAP command and staff positions. Courses include lectures and seminars covering interpersonal communications, leadership, management, and training techniques.

Curriculum and Staff

The Staff College curriculum includes a wide array of subjects and is taught by a variety of highly qualified individuals including CAP commanders, Air Force instructors, CAP members who teach professionally, and CAP members who are executives in their civilian careers. Each staff member is carefully screened and selected based on his or her experience. PRSC is presented in a format friendly to all academic backgrounds.

Cost, Meals, and Accommodations

2015 is the year for you to attend! Please reference CAPR 50-17 for student eligibility. The Staff College is $90.00 per student. This includes course materials, Sunday night BBQ, Wednesday dinner social, and Friday luncheon.

Nellis student lodgings are some of the best in the Air Force. Upon receipt of your registration the Staff will make room reservations on your behalf at Nellis. Lodging rates as of this time are $56 per night and are the responsibility of the student. Nellis lodging accepts Visa and MasterCard. Please contact us regarding other off-base billeting arrangements (e.g., off-base hotels). Locals may commute.

Registration and Deadline

Deadline for Application: March 8, 2015.

To register submit one copy of your CAPF 17 through proper CAP channels for signatures (must be signed by your next highest level of command).  Mail (or email) a copy to the address below along with a copy of your Senior Level Training record (obtain from e-Services) with your check for $90.00 payable to Pacific Region Staff College. If you need to pay by credit card please contact me for that option.

NOTE: For your travel planning purposes, please keep in mind that registration will take place beginning 1000 hours on Saturday, 28 March; classes will begin at 1300. 3 April is a full class day (day ends at 1700) so airport departures should be planned either after 8pm on 4/3, or anytime on 4/4.

Tours at Nellis AFB will be scheduled, subject to AF mission requirements of the Thunderbirds, Red Flag, and the Threat Training Facility during the school week.
