Attention all Cadet Officers of Hawaii Wing:

 

We are pleased to invite all eligible cadet participants to a Regional Cadet Leadership School (RCLS), hosted by the Hawaii Wing. The school will be extremely beneficial to the success of any cadet officer or senior ranking non-commissioned officer in a leadership position. This course also fulfills requirements to receive the Ira C. Eaker award.

 

RCLS is a highly academic, 5-day school, with extensive individual and group assignments and study-work. The curriculum includes courses in both written and oral Communication, Leadership, CAP Program Management, and Organizational Planning. The RCLS coursework is very intensive and will require a high standard of self-discipline and focus.  Only cadets who are mature and highly motivated need apply.

 

Cadets who are eligible for this course must fall into the following categories:

     -achieved the rank of Cadet Senior Master Sergeant

     -completed a basic Encampment

     -be at least the age of fifteen at the start of the activity.

 

If a Cadet Master Sergeant wishes to attend, they should include with their application a letter a recommendation from their squadron commander.

 

RCLS will be held at the Hawaii Wing HQ facility on Oahu, from Wednesday March 25^th to Sunday March 29^th, 2009.  Applicants must submit a completed HIWG form 31A, authorized by their squadron commander, by March 1^st , 2009. Applications will be mailed to the following address:

Upon acceptance to this school, participants will receive an information package with specifics regarding cost, scholarships, transportation logistics, and required materials.

 

This activity will challenge and strengthen you in your leadership capabilities. It will prove an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for all involved.  RCLS will equip you with skills that will translate beyond the Civil Air Patrol program into your future.
